DCS would like to wish former Sales Director, Melvyn Bathgate, and Projects Engineer and former Gallito MD, Ian Ward, all the best for their retirements at the end of this month.
Melvyn first joined DCS in 1991 as a paint sprayer and assembly operator before moving into the sales department the following year. He spent time in every department expanding his product knowledge and then worked with former owner, Allan Oldfield before being appointed to Sales Director in 2007 – a role he developed for the next 11 years before handing over the reins to current Sales Director Andy Hives in 2018.
Ian joined DCS as a Project Engineer in 2008 and was then appointed as General Manager at Gallito Ltd in 2013, before being promoted to MD in 2015. He retired from the position of Gallito MD in 2018 and then returned to DCS as a Project Engineer on a part-time basis.
DCS’ Sales Director Andy Hives comments, “Between them Melvyn and Ian have more than 39 years’ service at DCS so will be greatly missed. Both have made a significant contribution to the success of DCS and Gallito and we wish them every happiness for the future.”
Both Melvyn and Ian are looking forward to spending more time on the golf course. A new house and more time in Spain are on the cards for Ian, whilst Melvyn is planning on spending more time with his family, taking more holidays and investing time in his hobbies, including photography.
Best of luck both from all at DCS!
