Recycling & Waste Management

Dust Control Systems Ltd specialise in providing dust and fume extraction solutions across many industries, including major projects in the recycling and waste management sector.

Saving energy and increasing production efficiency while ensuring a safe working environment are key requirements of most processes. And this particularly applies to the controlling and management of dust and fume generated in the process of recycling and waste management. All dust control systems from DCS are tailored to the specific requirements of the customer.

At DCS, our reputation has been built on an ability to provide the most cost-efficient extraction solution, both technical and commercial, for any dust and fume problem. We have the widest choice of filter types and technologies available, which means we can always offer the most suitable energy-efficient system for any application.

The reference list of projects in recycling includes systems to serve various processes in glass recycling, paper recycling and tyre recycling. Recent successes for DCS include the supply and installation of a complete extraction system to minimise dust from waste at a newly opened material recycling facility (MRF) in North Wales for UPM Shotton.

UPM Shotton, one of the UK’s largest recyclers of used newsprint and magazines, contracted DCS to install a complete dust extraction plant at its £17 million Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in North Wales.

DCS provided a complete turn-key package, including design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a material stream dust control system serving drum feeders, sort conveyors, optical sorters and screens. The plant comprises an externally located filter unit, strategically-sited extraction hoods, interconnecting ductwork and a briquetting press.
